Sunset Contest a Sham ?  Scam ?

Well, I guess you won't have the chance to vote on my Tiny House on Wheels submission for the contest sponsored by Sunset Magazine.  Sad to report, it looks as though this magazine, now published by Time, Inc.  may be promoting a Sham contest, or worse yet, a scam ?     I received no notice of the finalists for the contest, being chosen and opened up to public vote.  When I navigated back to the site, I discovered a flood of comments from disgruntled, would-be, contestants who were cut off from entering, well before the cut-off date and time.  Then when I tried the link to the page of finalists, to vote, I was blocked there, too.   It seems they require a "password" to see the site and vote.  This password would, clearly, not be available to the public who is supposed to be voting.  But, then I thought: Maybe this password is just for tracking, and prevention of multiple votes from the same person.  I entered a password, which was denied, followed my an error message, stating "Authorization Required" to view this page.  Clearly all entries were not allowed in, and the public is not being allowed to vote, as is stated in the contest rules.   In the application, there was  statement to the effect that all submissions were, from that point, considered the property of Sunset Magazine, and could be used at their discretion......  Who knows if my photos will show up, some day, in some Tiny House Porn site ?????????????

When the economy crashed and Jaclyn was being forced from her home due to foreclosure, she knew she wanted more than just a roof over her head.  She wanted to travel, and have adventures, but  didn't want to live in an RV.  She  wanted her home to be soul inspiring and nurturing, but needed to create it on a shoe-string budget.  So, with  minimal funds and a little help from her friends, she built her tiny traveling sanctuary.

In this blog, you'll find the story of Jaclyn's journey from foreclosure to Living Large, Tiny in her Gypsy Island Sanctuary.
