As you may recall, it was my intention to dedicate all proceeds from my $1 tours to helping the homeless, in some small way, since that is how my own adventure began. I was originally, anticipating and preparing for a "Living Large Tiny" life in my new Sanctuary, as a way of turning my imminent foreclosure and retirement lemons into lemonade. As circumstances directed, I had to leave my 2,000 sq. foot Wellness Center /home when my Tiny Dream Home was nothing more than a steel frame on a flatbed trailer, and I was facing homelessness, instead. The full story is on my site, and I invite you to read it. As one visitor on to this site commented, "Usually I do not post comments on blogs, but I would like to say that this blog really forced me to do so! Thanks, for a really nice read." But, as God would have it, I found myself driven into the priority of being a force to Heal Homelessness in Sarasota while developing a DIY Guide that any individual or organization could follow to begin that process in their own town.
That is still my driving force today, and it has been a roller coaster. As Pinellas abruptly dumped our collaboration, I didn't know my next step, then I attended the best meeting this whole year, led by New College Students. The topic was no different than the other talk-a-thons, but the process and intent was so very constructive and refreshing. After the meeting, I found out it was spear headed by a "secret admirer" of my Healing Homelessness Vision and Guidelines posted on BaytoBayServices.org. I was inspired and heartened. Before the New Year, I will introduce you to the force behind this series of 7 meetings, and the Hope for Healing Homelessness, and the developing DIY Guide. You will be notified of this post, if you are also on the mailing list for the Bay to Bay site. If not, get on the site, and sign up, or return this email, and I will sign you up for the emails.
